We’ve been practicing, playing, and writing for months and the time has finally come. We’ve started work on recording our debut EP, I Wait For You. This is going to be 7 of our instrumental, meditative worship songs and we’re so excited to get it to you! It feels like we’ve been building up to this for a long time.
Yesterday, Andrew and R.F. got together and recorded three songs in the prayer chapel at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center. Their prayer chapel is a tiny little building on the side of a mountain with phenomenal acoustics. Playing in there is like have natural reverb, especially on the trumpet. Here a few pictures we snapped during the process.
Andrew’s guitar and recording set up, plus our song list.
I know you can’t really see the song list, but we’ll release more details about that soon.
And isn’t that guitar nice looking? I love the stripped down body and Andrew has plans to make it look even better!
R.F.’s gear, plus Andrew in the background.
You can see his trumpet plus keyboard and computer hiding back there.
You can also see a little bit of the prayer chapel we’re recording in here.
And a different angle on R.F.’s setup to give you a better look at the keyboard.
Plus, you can see the super nice copper bubble mute that has a sound we all can’t get enough of.
Tomorrow, we’re hoping to record Fawn’s flute and dulcimer parts for those first three songs. At that point, we might go ahead and release those three as a demo to give you something to look forward to.
